10-Day Best of Uganda: Big Five & Gorilla Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Entebbe/Kampala

Pick-up at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your hotel.

Optional visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC) or a city tour of Kampala. Then Overnight stay in Kampala or Entebbe

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

You will Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, stop over at the top of the falls for breathtaking views. Evening relaxation at your lodge

 Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Safari on the Nile

In the Morning, a game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls. Expect to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and antelopes. In the afternoon boat safari on the Nile River, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife, calm waters and vegetation. Hike to the top of the falls.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

You will Drive through scenic landscapes to Kibale Forest, home to chimpanzees and 12 other primate species. Then in the Evening relaxation at the lodge.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

Early Morning, you will go Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest.

In the Afternoon, swamp walks in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for more primate and bird species.

Then have an Overnight in Kibale.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Afternoon Game Drive

You will drive through a Scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains. In the Afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi Plains known for lion and elephant sightings.

Day 7: Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Transfer to Ishasha Sector

In the Morning game drive to spot more wildlife.

Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. Then Transfer to the Ishasha Sector for a chance to see tree-climbing lions.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

In the Morning game drive in Ishasha to search for tree-climbing lions. You will Continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest home to Uganda’s mountain gorillas.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi

Early morning briefing before heading into the rainforest for an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. Spend one magical hour observing a gorilla family and later a cultural encounter with the Batwa pygmies in the evening

Day 10: Return to Kampala/Entebbe & Departure

Scenic drive back to Kampala, with a stopover at the Equator for photos.

Drop-off at Entebbe International Airport for your flight home.
