There are a number of things you can do as you wait and laze around Kampala before or after your Uganda Safari. We have a number of short exciting excursions that our clients can enjoy and the Kampala Jinja City Tour is one of them.
The Kampala Jinja City Tour gives you a historical and cultural taste of Uganda’s two oldest cities, capital Kampala and Jinja where the source of the mighty Nile if found.
Uganda’s capital city of Kampala borders Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake. The down town area of Kampala offers a multitude of historical and cultural attractions for visitors to explore.
Jinja, Uganda’s colonial town with some of the oldest buildings in the nation, also commonly called the adrenaline capital of East Africa is the most commonly visited town for anyone on a safari in Uganda. Many activities take place here like Whitewater rafting, boat ride up-to the point where the Nile River begin.
Highlights and Activities:
DAY 1: ARRIVAL
Welcome to the pearl of Africa, you will be welcomed by our driver guide and transferred to your hotel from where you will start your journey. Check in at the hotel have an evening of relaxation, dinner and an overnight rest

DAY 2: KAMPALA CITY TOUR
After a healthy breakfast at around 9:00am, enjoy a comfortable drive around Uganda’s Capital City and Visit Kampala’s most iconic attractions. Explore the history, architecture and culture of our capital with our driving tour of the cities most celebrated attractions. And these include;
· Gadhafi Mosque The second largest mosque in Africa
· Royal tombs at Kasubi King’s Tombs, Historical description, Kabaka Ssuuna’s grave
· Baha’i temple, the only temple for Baha’i faith in Africa, located north east of Kampala on Kikaya Hill-Kyebando. Enjoy views of Kampala suburbs & spend time in the gardens.
· Martyr’s Shrine at Namugongo shrine in Namugongo to venture the history of the strong Christians that were burnt for the faith
· National Museum, visit our amazing history hachure to brief you of Uganda’s background and her historical structures of the age.

DAY 3: MABIRA FOREST & SEZIBWA FALLS
After breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 am and brief you about the excursion, after you’ll embark on your journey to Jinja then we proceed to Sezibwa falls which is believed to have healing powers. Take a hike through the rocky grounds until the top of the falls. You will be able to witness several monkey species, birds, insects, butterflies among other wildlife. Dive into the cultural and spiritual experiences from the stories and practices of the local healers in the area. Then proceed to Griffin Falls in Mabira Forest.
On reaching the forest, you will be welcomed by the local guide who will brief you on the activities you will be doing in the forest. That is; Nature walks where you will view different bird species you will also engage in an adrenaline activity which is Zip lining or an option of archery. Have lunch and proceed to Jinja town for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: VISIT THE SOURCE OF THE NILE
At 8:00am after briefing by the tour guide, embark the safari vehicle we depart for the source of the Nile for the memorable experience of cruising on the Nile to visit the source of the longest River in the world. Here you will see different bird species on the Nile like the African darter, African sacred Ibis, African Open bill and so much more.
Retire to the lodge for dinner and a night rest.

DAY 5: AIRPORT TRANSFER THROUGH UGANDA WILDLIFE EDUCATION CENTER
After an early breakfast, check out of your hotel, on your way to the airport, you can make a quick 2 hour stop at the Uganda Wildlife Education Center to view the spectacular Wildlife on Display. The Uganda a wildlife center is a fun and exciting sanctuary to see and learn about the wildlife of Uganda and the eco systems in which they live.
The Uganda Wildlife Education Center [UWEC] guide will take you to all the sports of the center starting with the famous tigers to the African cheetahs, lions, elephants and so much other wildlife including various bird species like the gentle Uganda crested crane.
After this fascinating tour you proceed the journey to Entebbe international Airport to catch your flight home.
